**To become an officer you need to be a paying member and attend at least 4 meetings or social events. Officer elections are held in April, and members will be notified when and how they can submit applications near that time. If you have any questions about being an officer, feel free to ask any of the current ones.
Feel free to e-mail a specific officer/board member if you want to meet with them to learn more about their dental experiences, advice on the DAT, or applying for dental school using the ADEA’s AADSAS (American Dental Education Association’s- Associated American Dental Schools Application Service).

Pre-Dental Background: In addition to my 3 years in the UMN Pre-Dental Club, I’ve had the chance to shadow many dentists and dental specialists, attend the 2017 ASDA National Leadership Conference with PR Jason Rupprecht in Chicago, and volunteer at Give Kids a Smile, Special Olympics/Special Smiles, and Hope Dental Clinic in St. Paul. I also had the chance to work as a dental lab technician creating retainers, splints, and other orthodontic devices at Dakota Dental Associates in Grand Forks, ND. Currently, I am conducting my own orthodontic research within the UMN School of Dentistry’s Division of Orthodontics under the guidance of Dr. Thorsten Gruenheid.
Here’s one thing I’ve learned: The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is a great place to be a pre-dental student. That’s because there are so many opportunities here to learn about dentistry, get chairside experience as a dental volunteer, and take part in scientific and maybe even dentistry-related research.
If you have any questions about getting involved in the club or volunteer opportunities, taking your DAT, or research opportunities, feel free to reach out to me and I would be happy to help!
Hobbies/Interests: In my free time I love to travel, play basketball on my intramural team, attend classic car shows, go to the movies, and spend time with my family and friends.
